Aziz Yasri - CEO & Cofounder

Holding a PhD in biophysics and drug sciences, Aziz Yasri has more than 14 years of experience in start-ups, the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, and within management and business development. He joined the team of Synt:em (start-up in Nîmes) as a Senior Scientist to participate in all the development stages of the company whose growth was characterized by a transition from 5 to 35 employees in 3 years.

His management experience and drug discovery expertise was developed within ArQule Inc. (USA) and in Johnson&Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development (Belgium). Aziz Yasri was one of the founders of Nova Decision, and he is currently the CEO of OriBase Pharma.

Olivier Loget - CSO & Preclinical R&D Director

Olivier Loget has more than 20 years of experience in pharma industry. He joined Addex Pharma (Geneva) as Head of Non-Clinical Drug Safety to create, develop and lead this department and to participate to the IPO. He worked in toxicology departments since 1988 at Synthelabo, Hazleton, CIT, DSM, Roche and Addex Pharma.

He is a Eurotox Registered Toxicologist with great expertise in drug development from clinical candidate selection through to entry into human. At Roche he was Head of Animal Experimentation and Toxicology Project Leader. He was involved in several projects and Due Diligence opportunities. He obtained his degree and doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Nantes (1990). He is author or co-author of more than 20 publications. He is co-founder of the European Society of Laboratory Animal Veterinarians and board director of the International Society of Ocular Toxicology. He is a lecturer teaching toxicology in drug development in several Research Institutes (INSERM, INRA), Universities and Veterinary Schools.

Cédric Boriès - Organic Chemistry Director & Cofounder

Cédric Boriès, cofounder of Azasynth, was educated as an engineer in organic chemistry and got his PhD at Paul Cézanne in Aix-Marseille. He holds a strong experience of 8 years in heterocyclic organic chemistry applied to pharmaceuticals.

In 2007, he was one of the founders of Azasynth in which he occupied a co-managerial function for 4 years, during which he was responsible for all the R&D projects, the production processes of the company, and management of the laboratory staff. Cédric Boriès is now the Organic Chemistry Director at OriBase Pharma.
